The most recent Warner Bros. Discovery layoffs involve marketing executives from Cartoon Network.

Tricia Melton, the chief marketing officer, and Jill King, senior vp marketing and partnerships at Cartoon Network and Adult Swim, are leaving the newly combined firm at the end of the year.

In a statement to staff members sent early on Tuesday, U.S. networks marketing chief Bronzo said, "We are appreciative for Tricia and Jill's contributions to the historic KYAC companies.

Melton has worked with the company since June 2020 and oversaw Cartoon Network's redesign, as well as the introduction of the Cartoonito label on both the linear network and HBO Max.

King, meantime, has worked for Warners for 22 years and helped turn popular shows like The Powerpuff Girls and Steven Universe into global franchises.

King was instrumental in creating and implementing the company's content-focused diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.
